1. Interface compatibility upgrade – Based on the original VASS5 pneumatic servo welding gun changer solution, we added a CAN bus connector and a servo motor interface. The connectors were twisted in pairs and cable shielding was applied to prevent interference between power and signal lines. After the upgrade, the C38 electrical module can be used with both pneumatic and electric servo welding guns.
2. Minimized on‑site changes – A dedicated project team was formed, with technical personnel conducting on‑site measurements and working with the end customer to evaluate and finalize the test plan, ensuring that on‑site modifications were kept to a minimum.
3. Spare modules on consignment + on‑site production support – Spare modules were prepared and stored at the customer's site for quick replacement in case of issues during production. After‑sales staff were assigned to accompany production and promptly assist with troubleshooting during mass‑production runs.
Upon project completion, the tool quick changer successfully passed reliability tests in both the laboratory and the mass‑production line. The overall project achieved a 30% cost reduction compared to the expected investment.
